After a major reno, one of the few brick homes in the King William area is back on the market

San Antonio's King William Historical District is full of turn-of-the-last-century homes with amazing exterior woodwork. However, only a few were built of brick — this 1915 craftsman being one of the few exceptions.

Designed by architect Beverly W. Spillman, the home was carved into an upstairs-downstairs rental property some decades after its construction, then put on the market in late 2020 as a fixer-upper. At that point, the home carried a $875,000 price tag.

Since then, the home's been through a major renovation that included refinishing its hardwood floors, sprucing it up with a new interior paint job and removing vintage 1970s wall paneling. The dark, dated and grungy kitchen was also replaced with a brighter, more contemporary one that matches the aesthetic of the home.

Despite those upgrades, the new listing price for the four-bedroom, four-and-half-bath property is just $100,000 more than its 2020 asking price. It's now on the market for $975,000.

This home is listed by Rachel M Trevino with Home Team Of America.
